The Carver Light Foundation
Setting Foundations For Generations
The Carver Light Foundation is a not-for-profit action organization
that is designed to provide a foundation of success for the future
graduates George Washington Carver High School.
The mission of the Carver Light Foundation is the empower students
by supplementing and supporting the mission of Carver High School
through providing life skill, character, and leadership development
training, therefore insuring that all attendees of Carver High have
an opportunity to be productive citizens of Columbus, GA and beyond.
The Carver Light Foundation has two major components that will
help set a strong foundation for the development of future Carverlites:

The proposed outcomes of the project
are:
1) Higher graduation rates
2) Better preparation for adult life
3) Increased alumni/community involvement
4) Increased parent involvement
5) Enhanced school pride
6) A deepened interest in education and the arts
7) Increased outreach to the feeder schools of Carver High (Brewer,
Marshall, Ridgon, Dimon, Baker, and Rothchild)
